Therapeutic touch with the essence of Hawaii

What Is Lomi Lomi:

Lomi Lomi is the ancient practice of massage from the Hawaiian Islands that is profoundly healing and nurturing. Lomi Lomi works from the belief that memories are stored in every cell of the body. One translation of lomi is "to weave" ... weave light, weave love and spirit, un-weave unhealthy patterns, un-weave wounds and old belief systems thus relieving stresses, strains and muscle tension.

"Rid yourself of all regrets about the past. Guilt is a useless emotion. It doesnt do any good for anyone." Ancient Teaching of Ho'oponopono (forgiveness; realignment)

A Brief History:

Lomi Lomi is derived from the ancient Polynesians and more specifically from the master healers of Hawaii. Hawaiian Lomi Lomi was kept secret within the various families for most of its history. Methods varied from family to family and were passed down through the village Kahuna. Some methods use light touch through cotton clothing. Some use oil on bare skin. Some are more vigorous. Some use humming and dancing. But all forms share the same intention; to provide a sacred space for the recipient to let go and surrender to the guidance of their own spirit.

"Lomilomi is an attitude on the part of the therapist, who must be clean and positive in mind, body and spirit...the client trusts that lomilomi can help and comes from a higher power. Hawaiian Lomilomi is praying work." Quote from Aunt Margaret Kalehuamakanoelulu'onapali
